Helix Logistics Development (an ARILOG member), part of THE HELIX CONCEPT group, announces a decisive step toward decarbonizing freight transport in Romania by electrifying its urban delivery fleet. The company will exclusively acquire FOTON-branded electric commercial vehicles, simultaneously marking the launch of HELIX E-MOTION, the new division for distributing FOTON vehicles in Romania.

The development strategy aims to achieve a 100% electric fleet for urban transport by the end of 2028. Currently, electric trucks account for 10% of the company's fleet; this figure is set to exceed 20% by the end of 2026, with an ultimate target of approximately 150 electric units.

A key market differentiator is that Helix Logistics offers clients the option to have their goods transported with zero emissions, without increasing existing transport rates. This transition delivers immediate benefits to partners:

The electrification process began in 2023 with the integration of four pilot units and continued earlier this year with an order for another six state-of-the-art FOTON trucks. Alongside fleet expansion, the group is investing in developing its own charging infrastructure at its operational sites.
